Nomenclatural History
The species Marinobacter aquaeolei was originally described and validly published by Nguyen et al. 1999. Márquez and Ventosa established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Gauthier et al. 1992 in 2005. Tindall established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Baumann et al. 1972) Tindall 2020 in 2020.
