Nomenclatural History	The species Erwinia chrysanthemi was originally described by Burkholder et al. 1953. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1973, Brenner et al. established Erwinia chrysanthemi as the basonym of Pectobacterium chrysanthemi (Burkholder et al. 1953) Brenner et al. 1973 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Hauben et al. 1998 .
