Nomenclatural History
The species Pectobacterium cypripedii was originally described by Brenner et al. 1973. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Hauben et al. published an emended description of this species in 1998. Hauben et al. established as a later homotypic synonym of (Hori 1911) Bergey et al. 1923 (Approved Lists 1980) in 1998. In 2010, Brady et al. established as the basonym of (Brenner et al. 1973) Brady et al. 2010 .
