Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Photorhabdus asymbiotica asymbiotica was originally described and validly published by Akhurst et al. 2004. In 2004, Akhurst et al. reduced Fischer-Le Saux et al. 1999 emend. Machado et al. 2018 to the rank of subspecies.
