Nomenclatural History

The species Serratia ficaria was originally described by Grimont et al. 1979. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 6 in 1981. García-Fraile et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. García-Fraile et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of
Serratia vespertilionis García-Fraile et al. 2015
in 2020.
