Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Pasteurella multocida multocida was originally described and validly published by Mutters et al. 1985. In 1985, Mutters et al. reduced (Lehmann and Neumann 1899) Rosenbusch and Merchant 1939 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Mutters et al. 1985 to the rank of subspecies.
