Nomenclatural History
The species Haemophilus actinomycetemcomitans was originally described and validly published by Potts et al. 1985. Potts et al. formed this name in 1985 by placing the species (Klinger 1912) Topley and Wilson 1929 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Winslow et al. 1917 emend. Zinnemann and Biberstein 1974 (Approved Lists 1980) Winslow et al. 1917 emend. Zinnemann and Biberstein 1974 (Approved Lists 1980). In 2006, Nørskov-Lauritsen and Kilian established as the basonym of (Klinger 1912) Nørskov-Lauritsen and Kilian 2006 .
