Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Veillonella parvula parvula was originally described by Prévot 1933. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 86 in 2008. In 1982, Mays et al. reduced (Veillon and Zuber 1898) Prévot 1933 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Mays et al. 1982 to the rank of subspecies.
