Nomenclatural History
The species Bacillus clausii was originally described by Nielsen et al. 1995. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 55 in 1995. Liu et al. published an emended description of this species in 2019. Liu et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Madhaiyan et al. 2013 in 2019. In 2020, Patel and Gupta established as the basonym of (Nielsen et al. 1995) Patel and Gupta 2020 . In 2021, Joshi et al. established as the basonym of (Nielsen et al. 1995) Joshi et al. 2022 .
