Nomenclatural History
|
The species Bacillus rhizosphaerae was originally described by Madhaiyan et al. 2011. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 149 in 2013. Liu et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Bacillus clausii Nielsen et al. 1995 emend. Liu et al. 2019
in 2019. In 2020, Patel and Gupta established Bacillus rhizosphaerae as the basonym of
Alkalihalobacillus rhizosphaerae (Madhaiyan et al. 2013) Patel and Gupta 2020
.
