Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Lactobacillus paracasei tolerans was originally described and validly published by Collins et al. 1989. This name was affected by Judicial Opinion 82 in 2008. Collins et al. formed this name in 1989 by placing the subspecies Abo-Elnaga and Kandler 1965 (Approved Lists 1980) into the species Collins et al. 1989. In 2020, Zheng et al. established as the basonym of (Abo-Elnaga and Kandler 1965) Zheng et al. 2020 .
