Nomenclatural History
|
The genus Weissella was originally proposed by Collins et al. 1993. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 49 in 1994. Padonou et al. published an emended description of this genus in 2010. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Bello et al. in 2022.
