Nomenclatural History
|
The species Streptococcus caprinus was originally described by Brooker et al. 1994. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 56 in 1996. Sly et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Streptococcus gallolyticus Osawa et al. 1996 emend. Schlegel et al. 2003
in 1997.
