Nomenclatural History	The species Kocuria kristinae was originally described and validly published by Stackebrandt et al. 1995. Stackebrandt et al. formed this name in 1995 by placing the species Micrococcus kristinae Kloos et al. 1974 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Kocuria Stackebrandt et al. 1995. In 2018, Nouioui et al. established Kocuria kristinae as the basonym of Rothia kristinae (Kloos et al. 1974) Nouioui et al. 2018 .
