Nomenclatural History
The species Cellulomonas cartae was originally described and validly published by Stackebrandt and Kandler 1980. Stackebrandt et al. published an emended description of this species in 1982. Stackebrandt et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of (Metcalf and Brown 1957) Schumann et al. 2001 in 1982.
