Nomenclatural History	The subspecies Clavibacter michiganensis michiganensis was originally described and validly published by Davis et al. 1984. Zgurskaya et al. corrected this name from Clavibacter michiganense michiganense (sic) to Clavibacter michiganensis michiganensis . Davis et al. formed this name in 1984 by placing the subspecies Corynebacterium michiganense michiganense (Smith 1910) Jensen 1982 into the species Clavibacter michiganense (sic) (Smith 1910) Davis et al. 1984 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018Clavibacter michiganensis corrig. (Smith 1910) Davis et al. 1984 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018. In 1984, Davis et al. reduced Clavibacter michiganensis corrig. (Smith 1910) Davis et al. 1984 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 to the rank of subspecies.
