Nomenclatural History
The species Rathayibacter toxicus was originally described and validly published by Sasaki et al. 1998. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Sasaki et al. formed this name in 1998 by placing the species Riley and Ophel 1992 into the genus Zgurskaya et al. 1993.
