Nomenclatural History	The species Corynebacterium insidiosum was originally described by Jensen 1934. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1982, Carlson and Vidaver reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form Corynebacterium michiganense insidiosum (McCulloch 1925) Carlson and Vidaver 1982 .
