Nomenclatural History
The species Corynebacterium matruchotii was originally described by Collins 1982. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 10 in 1983. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Collins formed this name in 1982 by placing the species (Mendel 1919) Gilmour et al. 1961 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Lehmann and Neumann 1896 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Baek et al. 2018.
