Nomenclatural History	The species Corynebacterium nebraskense was originally described by Vidaver and Mandel 1974. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1982, Carlson and Vidaver reduced this species to the rank of subspecies to form Corynebacterium michiganense nebraskense (Vidaver and Mandel 1974) Carlson and Vidaver 1982 .
