Nomenclatural History
|
The species Mycobacterium pinnipedii was originally described and validly published by Cousins et al. 2003. Riojas et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Zopf 1883) Lehmann and Neumann 1896 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Riojas et al. 2018
in 2018.
