Nomenclatural History
The species Nocardia orientalis was originally described by Pridham and Lyons 1969. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. In 1986, Lechevalier et al. established as the basonym of (Pittenger and Brigham 1956) Lechevalier et al. 1986 emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 .
