Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Saccharothrix mutabilis mutabilis was originally described by Grund and Kroppenstedt 1989. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 34 in 1990. In 1990, List Editor reduced (Shearer et al. 1983) Labeda and Lechevalier 1989 to the rank of subspecies.
