Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces aureofaciens was originally described by Duggar 1948. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Groth et al. published an emended description of this species in 2003. In 2017, Labeda et al. established as the basonym of (Duggar 1948) Labeda et al. 2017 . Nouioui et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Baldacci and Grein 1966 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2018.
