Nomenclatural History
The species Kitasatospora aureofaciens was originally described by Labeda et al. 2017. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 176 in 2017. Labeda et al. formed this name in 2017 by placing the species Duggar 1948 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Groth et al. 2003 into the genus Waksman and Henrici 1943 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Idris et al. 2017. Klaysubun et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Virgilio and Hengeller 1960) Labeda et al. 2017 in 2022.
