Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces bottropensis was originally described by Waksman 1961. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. A subsequent emendation was proposed by Madhaiyan et al. in 2020. Madhaiyan et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Bouchek-Mechiche et al. 2000 in 2020.
