Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces flavovirens was originally described by Waksman and Henrici 1948. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Lanoot et al. published an emended description of this species in 2005. Lanoot et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Waksman 1961 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2005. Rong and Huang established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Duché 1934) Waksman and Lechevalier 1953 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2010.
