Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces fradiae was originally described by Waksman and Henrici 1948. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Lanoot et al. published an emended description of this species in 2004. Lanoot et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Arai 1951 (Approved Lists 1980) in 2004.
