Nomenclatural History
The species Streptomyces griseofuscus was originally described by Sakamoto et al. 1962. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Madhaiyan et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Frommer 1959 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Komaki 2021 in 2020.
