Nomenclatural History
The species Gluconacetobacter hansenii was originally described by Yamada et al. 1997. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 64 in 1998. Upon validation, this name was corrected from (sic) to . Lisdiyanti et al. published an emended description of this species in 2006. Yamada et al. formed this name in 1997 by placing the species Gosselé et al. 1983 into the genus (sic) Yamada et al. 1998 corrig. Yamada et al. 1998. Cleenwerck et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Dutta and Gachhui 2007 in 2009. In 2012, Yamada et al. established as the basonym of (Gosselé et al. 1983) Yamada et al. 2013 emend. Škraban et al. 2018 .
