Nomenclatural History
The species Komagataeibacter hansenii was originally described by Yamada et al. 2012. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 149 in 2013. Škraban et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Yamada et al. formed this name in 2012 by placing the species corrig. (Gosselé et al. 1983) Yamada et al. 1998 emend. Lisdiyanti et al. 2006 into the genus Yamada et al. 2013. Škraban et al. established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of (Dutta and Gachhui 2007) Yamada et al. 2013 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 in 2018. In 2022, Brandão et al. established as the basonym of (Gosselé et al. 1983) Brandão et al. 2022 .
