The Judicial Commission designated the type strain of Halovibrio variabilis Fendrich 1989 is DSM 3050, replacing DSM 3051 (=III 65 =IAM 14440) as DSM 3051 did not fit the properties published. The 16S rRNA feature AB021383 were sequenced from DSM 3050.
