Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Insolitispirillum peregrinum integrum was originally described and validly published by Yoon et al. 2007. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this subspecies in 2020. Yoon et al. formed this name in 2007 by placing the subspecies (Terasaki 1973) Terasaki 1979 (Approved Lists 1980) into the species (Pretorius 1963) Yoon et al. 2007. In 2007, Yoon et al. reduced (Pretorius 1963) Yoon et al. 2007 to the rank of subspecies.
