Nomenclatural History
The subspecies Haloanaerobium saccharolyticum senegalense was originally described by Rainey et al. 1995. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 55 in 1995. Oren corrected this name from (sic) to . Rainey et al. formed this name in 1995 by placing the subspecies corrig. Cayol et al. 1994 into the species corrig. (Zhilina et al. 1992) Rainey et al. 1995 (sic) (Zhilina et al. 1992) Rainey et al. 1995.
