Nomenclatural History
The species Goodfellowiella coeruleoviolacea was originally described and validly published by Labeda et al. 2008. Nouioui et al. published an emended description of this species in 2018. Labeda and Kroppenstedt formed this name in 2006 by placing the species (Preobrazhenskaya et al. 1987) Kroppenstedt et al. 1991 into the genus (Labeda and Kroppenstedt 2006) Labeda et al. 2008. This name replaces the name (Preobrazhenskaya et al. 1987) Labeda and Kroppenstedt 2006 .
