Nomenclatural History
The species Gluconacetobacter sucrofermentans was originally described and validly published by Cleenwerck et al. 2010. Cleenwerck et al. elevated the subspecies corrig. Toyosaki et al. 1996 to the rank of species to form this name in 2010. In 2012, Yamada et al. established as the basonym of (Toyosaki et al. 1996) Yamada et al. 2013 .
