Nomenclatural History	The species Komagataeibacter sucrofermentans was originally described by Yamada et al. 2012. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 149 in 2013. Yamada et al. formed this name in 2012 by placing the species Gluconacetobacter sucrofermentans (Toyosaki et al. 1996) Cleenwerck et al. 2010 into the genus Komagataeibacter Yamada et al. 2013.
