Nomenclatural History

The family Incertae sedis 39 was originally proposed by Zhang et al. 2011. Ay et al. replaced this illegitimate name with
Streptosporangiaceae Goodfellow et al. 1990 emend. Ay et al. 2020
in 2020.
"Incertae sedis" ("of uncertain placement") are placeholders and should not be considered to be formal names.
