Nomenclatural History
The family Streptosporangiaceae was originally proposed by Goodfellow et al. 1990. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 34 in 1990. published an emended description of this family in 1997. Subsequent emendations were proposed by Zhi et al. in 2009, Nouioui et al. in 2018 and Ay et al. in 2020. This name replaces the name Zhang et al. 2011 .
