The species Pontirhabdus pectinivorans was originally described and validly published by Yi et al. 2011. Park et al. published an emended description of this species in 2013. In 2013, Park et al. established as the basonym of (Yi et al. 2011) Park et al. 2013 emend. García-López et al. 2019 .
