Nomenclatural History
|
The species Komagataeibacter kombuchae was originally described by Yamada et al. 2012. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 149 in 2013. Hördt et al. published an emended description of this species in 2020. Yamada et al. formed this name in 2012 by placing the species
Gluconacetobacter kombuchae Dutta and Gachhui 2007
into the genus Komagataeibacter Yamada et al. 2013. Škraban et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Komagataeibacter hansenii (Gosselé et al. 1983) Yamada et al. 2013 emend. Škraban et al. 2018
in 2018.
