Nomenclatural History

The family Caedobacteriaceae was originally proposed by Preer et al. 1974. Preer and Preer corrected this name from Caedobacteriaceae (sic) to Caedibacteriaceae . Garrity et al. replaced this illegitimate name with
Incertae sedis 4 Garrity et al. 2007
in 2007.
This name is illegitimate because the spelling does not match that of the Validly Published genus upon which it is based.
