Nomenclatural History	The species Kitasatospora psammotica was originally described by Labeda et al. 2017. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 176 in 2017. Labeda et al. formed this name in 2017 by placing the species Streptomyces psammoticus Virgilio and Hengeller 1960 (Approved Lists 1980) into the genus Streptomyces Waksman and Henrici 1943 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Idris et al. 2017. Klaysubun et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of Kitasatospora aureofaciens (Duggar 1948) Labeda et al. 2017 in 2022.
