Nomenclatural History	The species Peptoclostridium bifermentans was originally described by Yutin and Galperin 2013. Yutin and Galperin formed this name in 2013 by placing the species Clostridium bifermentans (Weinberg and Séguin 1918) Bergey et al. 1923 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Chamkha et al. 2001 into the genus Peptoclostridium Yutin and Galperin 2013 non Peptoclostridium Galperin et al. 2016. Yutin and Galperin 2013 did not formally propose this new combination.
