Nomenclatural History
The species Pararhodobacter zhoushanensis was originally described and validly published by Zhang et al. 2020. This name replaces the name Zhang et al. 2019 non Pararhodobacter marinus Lai et al. 2019 .

There was a mistake in the published article relating to species nomenclature. The name Pararhodobacter marinus (Zhang et al., IJSEM 69 : 3293–3298, 2019) in the article is illegitimate since it is a homonym of Pararhodobacter marinus Lai et al. 2019, published earlier this year in the IJSEM (pp. 932–936). The name of the species is now changed to Pararhodobacter zhoushanensis.
