Nomenclatural History
The species Companilactobacillus mishanensis was originally described and validly published by Zheng et al. 2020. Jiang and Gu published an emended description of this species in 2022. Zheng et al. formed this name in 2020 by placing the species Wei and Gu 2019 into the genus Zheng et al. 2020. Jiang and Gu established this name as an earlier heterotypic synonym of Zheng et al. 2020 pro synon. Lactobacillus salsicarnum Schuster et al. 2020 in 2022.
