The species Parasphaerochaeta coccoides was originally described and validly published by Bidzhieva et al. 2020. Bidzhieva et al. formed this name in 2020 by placing the species (Dröge et al. 2006) Abt et al. 2012 emend. Hördt et al. 2020 into the genus Bidzhieva et al. 2020.
