Nomenclatural History
The species Calidifontibacillus azotoformans was originally described and validly published by Adiguzel et al. 2020. Adiguzel et al. formed this name in 2020 by placing the species (ex Pichinoty et al. 1976) Pichinoty et al. 1983 into the genus Adiguzel et al. 2020. Oren and Garrity established as a later homotypic synonym of (Pichinoty et al. 1983) Gupta et al. 2020 in 2021.
