Nomenclatural History	The species Microcella alkalica was originally described by Xie et al. 2021. This name became validly published when it appeared on Validation List No. 204 in 2022. Xie et al. formed this name in 2021 by placing the species Yonghaparkia alkaliphila Yoon et al. 2006 into the genus Microcella Tiago et al. 2005 emend. Xie et al. 2021.
