Nomenclatural History

The species Streptomyces phaeoviridis was originally described by Shinobu 1957. This name appeared on the Approved Lists of Bacterial Names 1980. Lanoot et al. established this name as a later heterotypic synonym of
Streptomyces phaeopurpureus Shinobu 1957 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018
in 2004.
